Overview

This mixed-media illustration was created as part of a digital watercolor course exploring the intersection of technology and traditional media. The composition began as a digital sketch in Procreate, which I then printed onto watercolor paper and hand-painted to complete the piece. The artwork serves as a political commentary on reproductive rights, using the intertwined snake and flower forms, shaped to resemble a uterus, as symbolic imagery of control, resistance, and resilience. The delicate watercolor technique contrasts with the tension in the subject matter, emphasizing the ongoing struggle for autonomy and the beauty in empowerment.
